Did you know that the Jean Luis gown that Marilyn wore when she sang Happy Birthday to President Kennedy sold at auction with the highest price ever paid for a personal gown? It sold for $1,267,500.00 ! This is still the highest price that was ever paid for a personal gown of a celebrity.
And, moreover, the highest price ever paid for a film costume was $5.6 million for the white Billy Travilla designed halter top worn by Marilyn in The Seven Year Itch :D
